Triangle books

We have specialised in high-quality books about heritage, culture and landscapes since 1982. We are one of the leading publishers of guides about the Balearic Islands and different areas of the Mediterranean coast, from Girona to Almeria, as well as pioneers in bringing the work of Antoni Gaudí to a wider audience. Some of our books have been translated into 11 languages.

Our publications have a broad appeal and combine the rigour of leading experts with clear and accessible writing that can be understood by people at large. The quality of our photographs is our hallmark. A passion for images + texts by prestigious authors + excellent graphic design and a painstaking approach to printing = Triangle Books.

All our products are made from sustainable materials, and we use the best local suppliers who are required to provide the necessary environmental certifications and engage in responsible waste management.

Triangle Postals

We also produce postcards, maps, calendars and merchandising that cover a broad range of themes about the different areas where we have distribution centres: cities and towns, sea and mountain landscapes, heritage buildings, tourist sights and the Mediterranean spirit. Our postcard selection is constantly expanding, and we produce new calendars every year, as well as a large collection of magnets, notebooks and merchandising products.

Triangle Kids

New! We now publish books for kids and young adults. Triangle Kids is Triangle Books’ children’s and young adult imprint, which was created in 2022. We have embarked on a new collection of short stories that tie in with our core values: quality contents, finishes and formats and a desire to foster equal opportunities for all, as well as respect for the environment.

Història

1982

In autumn 1980, in Menorca, two photographer friends joined together with the intention of renewing the concept of the postcard. They started out by producing collections of postcards and prints. The quality of the photographs and their knowledge of the region soon led them to produce maps and travel guides about the Balearic Islands and the different areas in Mediterranean Spain.

1992

Over the years, our products – and the work of the new photographers who joined the team – met with great success and this led us to expand even further with small- and large-format books, guidebooks and a series of new publishing and merchandising products. In 1992, this resulted in Triangle Books making its first forays into publishing books about art, photography, culture, heritage and landscape.

1998

In 1998, we decided to launch our first collection of calendars featuring the best photographs of each area and adding the lunar calendar and main national and international festivals and religious holidays to the larger-format ones.

2019

From the start of the decade, we produced books about Iberian Mediterranean cookery, mountain trekking, publications for children and young adults that resulted in the creation of our own imprint Triangle Kids in 2022, the Patrimonium collection… until we had more than 3,000 titles.

Today

After overcoming the difficulties of nearly two years of inactivity caused by the pandemic, we are back stronger and keener than ever to move ahead with our own projects and to work on projects with the leading heritage institutions in our area. The new publications in our catalogue provide ample proof of this.

How we work

Our collections span prestigious editions that require a great deal of planning and take a long time to come to fruition, to less complex books that are not as time consuming to produce. In both cases, our in-house team and our collaborators (writers, translators, editors and photographers) always approach the projects with the same mindset: to create the perfect publication for the objective we have set.

In the case of collaborations and commissions, we share our proposals and skills with heritage managers and tourism agents. We like to work side by side, with trust, as part of a joint effort. We start with their knowledge and suggestions and put our own know-how into the mix.

Our expert sales team and our own distribution channels in Barcelona, Menorca, Mallorca, Ibiza-Formentera, Girona-Costa Brava, Valencia and Almeria – where we cater to over 1,500 customers a year – are the icing on the cake. We also work with different distributors in Spain and around the world. We work directly with our client portfolio, which ranges from small bookshops, newsstands, tobacconists and gift shops to large distribution chains and shops at major landmarks and museums.
