As a young architect, Antoni Gaud\u00ed designed his first project in Matar\u00f3 thanks to the progressive La Obrera Mataronense Cooperative Society and its director, Salvador Pag\u00e8s.<\/p>\n
He first created the poster for the new factory, followed by the plans for the residential area and the overall layout of this urban industrial colony, including the director\u2019s house, the workers\u2019 neighborhood, the factory, a leisure casino, and other facilities.<\/p>\n
The original plans and drawings of the entire complex reveal the scope of this innovative industrial project while highlighting the creative foundations of Gaud\u00ed\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
The book is written by N\u00faria Poch, director of the Matar\u00f3 Art Museum Consortium and Nau Gaud\u00ed; architect Ignasi Riera; and historians Maria Rodr\u00edguez and Jordi Pom\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
