She combines dry stone walling with her work as an educator, taking part in congresses about Stone. She combines her technical, cultural and educational expertise with a commitment to highlighting the value of one of the island\u2019s home-grown traditional crafts. The Paris-based photographer, Laurence Toussaint turns her attention to the humble craft of dry stone walling. The craft brings a human element to the landscape and the stone itself, through structures by anonymous architects who have left a monumental imprint bearing witness to a unique identity and cultural tradition.
